NGO employees, artists, trainers, researchers, founded CULTHEATER in July 2017 in ISTANBUL.

We are organizing inclusive projects to encourage accessibility of cultural field for all social groups. Within the scope of the workshops organized within the active participation of youth, participatory models are being developed to organize artistic creation and production processes. In CULTHEATER we are working to create solutions on social problems of youth, connect art and society, developing workshop tools to strengthen cultural dialogue and supporting youth through cultural education methods to take active roles in local and international dimensions.

CULTHEATER follows the 27th article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which declares, “Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits.”

CULTHEATER proclaims that the organization defends a dynamic, diversified and sustainable cultural field and encourages young people to take active roles in society through academic research and artistic practices.

Its main concerns are supporting young people to improve their social, cultural and artistic skills, connecting people in youth and art fields and developing tools for cultural dialogues, social inclusion, improving the relation of art and society.

For these purposes, CULTHEATER works on:

  • Academic research on art, youth, and society
  • Local and international workshops, seminars, training courses
  • Building partnerships for local and international programs
  • Realizing performing and visual arts productions
  • Supporting youth with fewer opportunities to encourage tolerance, solidarity, and social dialogue
  • Increasing performing and visual art literacy
  • Creating opportunities for disadvantaged youth groups to reach artistic productions
