Cultheater – Culture and Theater Research Association promotes the accessibility and participation of youth to the cultural field and empowerment of youth through cultural education practices. In this sense, our association organizes Homo Ludens-Playing Human workshops for the high school youth. Under the facilitation of Cultheater trainer Bilal Akar, Homo Ludens workshops have been organized since 2018 in the cities İstanbul and İzmir. The workshops are based on Augusto Boal’s Theater of Oppressed pedagogy specifically forum theater. Since 2018, 300 young people participated in our workshops. Cultheater continues to organize Homo Ludens workshops in its annual activity plan.
